Separate from base NIAHO hospital accreditation, DNV Healthcare offers a portfolio of specialty program certifications and Centre of Excellence (COE) designations that hospitals pursue voluntarily to validate a particular service line against a dedicated set of clinical and operational requirements.
These certifications layer on top of your core accreditation survey and typically carry their own annual or periodic on-site review.

Each DNV certification adds its own requirement set on top of NIAHO: separate standards, separate documentation expectations, and in most cases a separate annual survey window.
